New Delhi, July 1, 2026: Consumers and businesses across India received welcome relief on Wednesday as commercial LPG, petrol, diesel, and aviation turbine fuel (ATF) prices witnessed significant reductions following easing geopolitical tensions in West Asia.
The price cuts come after improved diplomatic developments between the United States and Iran, raising hopes of stable global crude oil supplies and easing pressure on international energy markets.
As oil prices declined globally, fuel retailers in India announced reductions in commercial LPG cylinder rates, private fuel prices, and aviation fuel costs, benefiting hotels, restaurants, transport operators, airlines, and industrial consumers.
Why Have Fuel Prices Been Reduced?
Fuel prices have declined primarily due to improving relations between the United States and Iran.
According to international reports, negotiations held in Qatar between US representatives and Iranian officials have shown positive progress. As fears of supply disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz eased, global crude oil prices started falling.

Oil marketing companies have reduced the price of 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders by ₹183.50, marking the first major reduction of the year.
The revised prices came into effect on July 1, 2026.
Earlier, commercial LPG prices had reached record highs because of the West Asia conflict, increasing operating costs for restaurants, hotels, food businesses, and commercial establishments.

Domestic LPG Cylinder Prices Remain Unchanged
While commercial LPG prices have been reduced significantly, domestic 14.2-kg LPG cylinder prices remain unchanged.
The latest revision only applies to commercial cylinders used by businesses and institutions.
Nayara Energy Cuts Petrol and Diesel Prices
Private fuel retailer Nayara Energy has announced substantial cuts in fuel prices across its nationwide retail outlets.
Price Reduction
- Petrol price reduced by ₹5 per litre
- Diesel price reduced by ₹3 per litre
The revised prices are applicable at more than 7,000 Nayara fuel stations across India.
Public sector oil companies such as Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum have not announced any change in retail petrol and diesel prices.

Oil companies have reduced the price of Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) by nearly ₹5 per litre.
The revised ATF price in Delhi is now approximately ₹110 per litre, providing cost relief to airlines that have been struggling with rising operating expenses.
ATF accounts for nearly 35–40% of an airline’s operating cost, making fuel price reductions highly beneficial for the aviation industry.
